Whether you are new to the community or have lived here twenty years, Farmington Newcomers and Neighbors is here to help you get involved in the life of our community, meet new people, and make Farmington your home. We are a diverse group with varying interests and at various stages of our lives.
The board gathers once a month: September through May. These meetings are open to the general membership. Four general meetings are held throughout the year and consist of fun social events. There are special interest groups that meet throughout the month. Our newsletter highlights a schedule of activities and details of programs.
Book Club This group explores a variety of authors and literary genres. The meetings include a robust book discussion, with plenty of time reserved for social interaction. The book list is published early in the year to allow plenty of reading time. Participants will determine the frequency of meeting.
Adventures in the Arts Looking for someone to go to the latest art exhibit, performance at the Bushnell, or check out a museum? Come explore the wonderful arts the area has to offer.
Dinner Club Dinner Club will meet on Friday or Saturday evenings every two months to enjoy themed dinners and each other's company. Couples or singles are welcome, and we will gather in small groups at hosts' homes to sample the finished product of recipes we have been assigned.
Playgroups This group will form small playgroups, have group field trips and family activities. More detailed information can be found in each monthly newsletter.
Couples Activities This group meets throughout the year for dining out, happy hours, and other couples activities. The dates and activities will be announced in the newsletters and at the monthly meetings, so check it out!!
Ladies Night Out Come and meet some new women for a little rest and relaxation. Spa time and drinks with the girls are some of the events we will offer.
Scrapbooking Explore a variety of ways to treasurer those memorable photos. Have fun using the latest papers, techniques, and tricks of the trade. Details on classes and crops can be found in our monthly newsletter. Or bring your favorite craft to work on.
Game Night Enjoy the company of others as well as some drinks and snacks as you play Mexican Train, a simple domino game, Bunco or cards.
Men's Night Send the men out for a change! Poker nights, sporting events and more.
Family/Children's Activites This group plans fun family activities including trips to the Wolfpack games, holiday parties, apple picking and more.
Waiver Farmington Newcomers & Neighbors members who participate in any club activity do so at their own discretion and risk. The club will not be held liable for any injuries or damages that may occur as a result of participation in a club-sponsored event. At events where alcohol is served, please drink responsibly.
